Christopher Sarlls As RICHARD
At age 11, Christopher Sarlls took his first steps into the realm of acting. Stage One, (a children’s theater in Louisville, Kentucky), held open auditions for its production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
This would be the first stepping stone into what has become a clear career choice for Christopher.
Over the next several years, he successfully landed roles, ranging from Toto in The Wizard of Oz, to an unruly Leroy Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. He continued acting through high school, where he was voted best actor by his peers for his performance of Sunny in Grease.
At 18, he auditioned for a residency at Stage One. Moses Goldberg, director of the children’s theater, did not give him the position, but did give him advice. Mr. Goldberg explained to Christopher he should go out and experience life…explore the world a little bit and study people and their reactions. Only slightly disheartened by the rejection, Christopher went off to art school, but took the wise words of his mentor to heart.
He would spend the next 10 years going through what he calls “the acting school of hard knocks.” Armed with years of wisdom and experience, Christopher moved to Tampa to pursue a career in movies, with the dream of going to Hollywood.
In just a short period of time, Christopher has landed roles as a cab driver in the independent film, She Could Be You, and John Graves in the student film, Final Passage. Christopher is thrilled to be playing the part of Richard Goodheart and looks forward to working with everyone at Rebellion Films!
